Meet the Team

  • Rose Stretton | Tour Manager

Rose has worked for Pform.nz as both a tutor and a member of the HQ Team since 2016. She was the Tour Manager in charge of our most recent Musical Theatre tour to NYC in 2019 and attended our previous tours to L.A. in 2014 and 2017 as a performer herself.

Rose left New Zealand in 2022 to live and work for a podcasting company in Los Angeles, so she is well-equipped to share local secrets and navigate the city like an expert.

Rose has years of performing arts experience under her belt, having begun her journey with Pform.nz as a student in 2003. She is passionate about the inclusive and uplifting culture that Pform.nz is dedicated to fostering, and ensures that all tours are run with the same philosophies in mind.

  • Tom Wardle | Head Chaperone

Tom has been a member of the Pform.nz tutor team for over a decade. He is an expert when it comes to child development and teaching pedagogy.

He currently fills the role of Education Manager in the Pform.nz HQ. His responsibilities put him at the forefront of curriculum, school contracts and youth leadership programs.

Tom has toured Nationally and Internationally as a performer, so understands how to help our participants navigate the rigour and intensity of a trip such as this one.

With a compassionate and selfless leadership style, Tom is the ideal choice to support our chaperones and oversee the security and safety of our performers.

  • Pearl Stretton | Head Tutor

Pearl has been training with Pform.nz since 2005, rising through our programs and winning multiple National and International awards as a solo and ensemble dancer.

Her choreography is dynamic and her teaching-style is nurturing, making her the ideal head-coach and creative brain behind our L.A. performance piece.

  • Performers must be 12 years or older (by the date of departure) to participate. We hold our tour participants to high behavioural standards. In order to be part of our performing arts tours, performers need to display a combination of skills and attitudes that contribute to their success and the overall harmony of the tour. Firstly, they should be passionate, dedicated, and possess a strong work ethic, as the demanding nature of a tour requires dedication, discipline, and commitment. Additionally, children should demonstrate adaptability, as they will encounter different performance venues and diverse audiences. They should have a willingness to learn and grow, being open to feedback and able to make adjustments as necessary. Teamwork is also crucial, as they will be part of a larger ensemble where cooperation and collaboration are essential. Lastly, and most importantly, our participants must display professionalism, including punctuality, respect for others, and a positive attitude, as they represent the organization, their family and themselves to the public during the tour.
